Fertility Women’s Circles
Connection and belonging in a safe, nurturing space with women who understand how hard the journey to motherhood can be.
When undergoing fertility treatments for my first child, I was sitting in the IVF clinic after another failed round, bawling my eyes out. Whilst the nurse offered me tissues and kind words, not once did she suggest anywhere I could go for support. This left me asking the question ‘how can we make the infertility experience a lot less shit?’
These women’s circles are my answer.
Run in-person every 2-3 months, each with a different theme, they’re an invitation to just be you for a few hours. The whole messy you that exists inside, around, and despite all of this. I hope with all my heart you only attend one because you are pregnant by the next. But if not, know there’s a soft space to land where you’re always welcome and always loved.

FAQs
What are women’s circles?
Women's circles are an ancient tradition of gathering female community to support one another, share experiences, and feel seen, in a safe, nurturing space.
What are fertility women’s circles?
They’re a women's circle specifically for any woman going through the highs and lows of fertility challenges. They’re an opportunity to find a sense of belonging, (re)connect with yourself as a whole you (not just the baby-making part), and share those worries everyone else dismisses (like will my partner leave me if I can’t have kids?).
The journey to motherhood can feel lonely and challenging if pregnancy doesn’t come easy for you. These circles are a chance to come together and be reminded we aren’t alone in this experience.
What happens in circle?
Each fertility women’s circle I run follows a similar structure, with activities and prompts adjusted to reflect the session’s theme.
Settling into the space
Time for getting familiar and comfortable with the space.
Settling into the group
Bringing the circle together as one so we feel safe and supported for the session.
Settling into the self
Settling into our bodies with a short activity like breath, movement or guided awareness.
Reflection and sharing circle
Guided prompts to consider about your experience and an invitation to share.
There’s no fixing, no judgement, and no listening-to-respond. Just open ears and open hearts.
Tea and cake
Always available and a great excuse to step away from circle if you need a minute.
Intention
A moment to consider what you will take with you from circle, and what you will leave behind.
Closing
Thanks and appreciation for yourself and everyone else for sharing your time and energy.
Who can attend?
Any woman going through the process of trying to have a baby and experiencing obstacles. Perhaps you’ve been trying for several months or years, or you have PCOS or endo or unexplained infertility, or you have experienced pregnancy loss, or you are able to get pregnant but the challenge lies in growing a bub to term. You might be trying naturally or with medical assistance. You may be a single mum, in a relationship (hetero or same-sex) or a surrogate. You may already have children, have given birth, or this is your first child. Even if you are early days pregnant you are still welcome to join circle. Those first months of pregnancy if it’s been a rough journey can be very tender and full of worry.
Basically if you are intending to grow a teeny human inside your body and are now regretting how much money you spent on contraception over the years because why is this so damn difficult, then you are absolutely who these circles are for.
What if I know someone else in the circle?
Ballarat is a small community so there’s definitely a chance this could happen! The foundation of women’s circles is trust and confidentiality. It is an expectation that whatever is shared in that room stays in that room, as do the names of everyone there (except mine).
If you and a friend are going through this together I encourage you to both come along! I can guarantee that even if you’ve spoken at length about your experiences that something new or different will come up as a result of the prompts and the dynamics of each circle.
I want to come but I’m not sure
I get it! I love connecting with other women, and I think these circles are a great idea, but I still get nervous going to new things with strangers.
So send me a message and we can jump on a quick call or text and break the ice. I’m happy to tell you about something embarrassing I’ve done if that’ll help make it seem less awkward. You can ask me any questions about me or the circles and I’ll be happy to answer.
Join the waitlist by following the prompts on the event page. If I have enough people on the waitlist to run a second session I will. Plus if anyone needs to cancel last minute you could land a spot!
The event is sold out, what do I do?
What if I can no longer make it?
Life happens, I know all about it. Please cancel your ticket if you can no longer make it so that someone on the waitlist can make it instead. You can get a refund of 80% if you cancel up to 3 days before the event. Follow the prompts on your ticket to cancel - refunds are handled automatically through the ticketing site not through me.
